I just came back from one of the last classes this semester with 20kg of sketches, studies and homeworks. I got a lot of feedback from my teachers…interestingly enough two of them said the same thing: my work needs to get more ‘herbe’ (german word that is kind of hard to translate! direct translation is bitter, harsh, austere).
A while ago I created a Qilin boy and I didn’t know what to name him and Assy said “why don’t you name him Virgin Eggs”
And I laughed and said “ha ha Assy, that’s dumb, okay”
But then his name actually ended up being Baajin which is just Virgin in chingchong accent ):
I sometimes make a line that makes me really happy because it’s so good.
